This policy explains what Your Afghanistan collects, why we collect it, and how you can ask us to change or delete it. We do not sell personal data. We do not process travel bookings or card payments on this website.
Who is responsible
Your Afghanistan operates this website. Privacy questions: contact@yourafghanistan.com.
Data we collect
Visitor accounts: name, email address, and a hashed password. We use this so you can save favorites across devices.
Reviews: your rating, comments, and account identity. Reviews are checked before they go public.
Listing requests: business name, category, description, and the contact details you submit so we can review and email you.
Contact-button clicks: we store that a WhatsApp or email button was used on a listing, without the content of that conversation.
Optional analytics: if you accept cookies, Google Analytics may collect approximate location, device, and page views. Maps and contact buttons work if you decline.
Server and security logs needed to run the site, including staff audit logs inside the admin area.
Cookies
Essential storage remembers cookie choice and keeps an admin session if a staff member signs in.
Analytics cookies load only after you accept. Details are on the Cookie policy page.
Third parties
Google Analytics (only with consent), map tiles from OpenStreetMap or Google Maps, transactional email via Resend, and hosting for the website and database.
WhatsApp, email, and phone conversations with hotels or guides happen off this platform. Those providers have their own privacy practices. We do not receive the messages.
How long we keep data
Account, favorite, review, and listing-request records stay until you ask us to delete them or they are no longer needed to run the service.
You can email contact@yourafghanistan.com to access, correct, or delete your account data. We may keep a minimal record where the law requires it.
Children
This site is aimed at adults planning travel. Do not create an account for a child under 16.

We will update this page when our practices change. The date at the top is the latest version.
